Markus Weigold is a partner at Drees & Sommer and is responsible for the Berlin–Brandenburg region. He supports companies and public-sector clients in making sites, real estate, and districts future-ready and in successfully transforming them. As a civil engineer and project manager, he combines technical expertise with strategic thinking and many years of experience managing complex projects in Germany and abroad.
The conversation covers standardisation without losing architectural quality, timber construction, low-tech solutions, AI, robotics and the practical changes needed to move projects from planning into production.
