WaVe-X invests in All3, accelerating automated timber construction with robotics and AI
03 Sept 2026, by All3
WALTER GROUP's corporate venture capital arm backs tech company All3 as it scales its AI- and robotics-driven platform for multi-storey hybrid timber construction.
WaVe-X, the corporate venture capital arm of the WALTER GROUP, has invested in All3. WaVe-X joins the investor group as a strategic partner and will support All3's expansion across the European market. All3 has built a robotics-driven platform for multi-storey residential construction, developed to address the industry's central challenges: the housing shortage and stagnating productivity in the building sector. Its buildings are constructed using a hybrid timber method, with cross-laminated timber (CLT) as the primary material, complemented by steel and concrete elements wherever structurally appropriate.
The global construction industry is under pressure from high building costs, a shortage of skilled labour and stalling productivity. Conventional modular construction methods reach their limits quickly, particularly for bespoke requirements and complex inner-city projects. All3 takes a different approach, enabling the serial production of individually designed, multi-storey residential buildings from sustainable timber — with no cost premium for custom design and no compromise on form, function or aesthetics. The company combines AI-driven planning, robotic prefabrication and autonomous on-site assembly to deliver sustainable buildings at industrial speed and lower cost than conventional construction.
The All3 model is designed to deliver:
• Up to 30% cost savings compared with conventional construction methods
• Up to 50% shorter project timelines
• Up to 25% lower CO2 emissions
• Full architectural freedom, even on tight urban sites
All3 has turned every stage of construction into a single, continuous end-to-end process, built on three integrated technologies: All3 Mantis, an autonomous robot for on-site assembly; AI-driven design software; and the cell-based All3 Robofactory, which automates the fabrication of individual building components.
“All3 combines advanced robotics with real-world construction practice. By bringing together physical AI, design automation and autonomous assembly, the company is opening up new possibilities for scalable building without sacrificing architectural flexibility. With the WALTER GROUP's market position and network behind it, we will be an active partner in All3's continued growth,” says Michal Lewandowski, Senior Investment Manager at WaVe-X.
“We are building the technology that brings productivity to construction. The WALTER GROUP has developed and operated real estate across Central Europe for decades — when a group with that track record judges our technology ready for the market, that is the validation that matters. With a partner of this calibre, we can build with greater precision and accelerate the path out of the housing crisis,” says Rodion Shishkov, co-founder and CEO of All3.
Broad synergies across the WALTER GROUP
The WaVe-X investment also opens strategic synergies within the WALTER GROUP itself. Through the partnership, WALTER REAL ESTATE gains access to All3's hybrid timber construction platform and will support the company's expansion in the Austrian market. For CONTAINEX, the specialist in mobile space solutions, the collaboration offers insight into modern automated production methods and strategic knowledge on the forward-looking use of cross-laminated timber.
“If we want to solve Europe's housing crisis, we need to fundamentally rethink how we build — and modular timber construction shows where that path leads. What All3 has developed in automated fabrication brings the speed and architectural freedom the industry has long been missing. For the WALTER GROUP, this investment fits perfectly with our long-term strategy: it gives WALTER REAL ESTATE and CONTAINEX early access to a genuine key technology, while we deliberately expand our presence in this segment,” says Daniel Ritz, CEO of the WALTER GROUP.
All3 is led by co-founders Rodion Shishkov (CEO) and Slava Bocharov, who previously scaled the e-commerce unicorn Samokat. Following successful validation through a four-storey test building in Belgrade in autumn 2025, All3 plans to deliver its first customer project in 2026.
